David Thomas is one of Australia’s leading contemporary Abstractionists. His practice encompasses non-figurative painting, photopainting and painting installation. Thomas’s work often employs monochromes and painted reflective surfaces to mirror actual space and time; enabling issues of perception, complexity and formal language to be considered. Informed by Non-Objective, Concrete and Conceptual traditions of painting his practice addresses being, amid time and space.
