Miriam Johnson was born in New York, USA and raised in Hobart, Australia. Johnson completed her Bachelor of Fine Art at the Centre for the Arts, University of Tasmania, Australia in 1990, undertook some Graduate Studies in Photography at the University of New Mexico, USA in 1993 and studied 16mm Film-making at the New York Film Academy, NY, USA in 1994. Miriam Johnson currently lives in New York.
